In the past couple of days I lost all my online audio on FF. Is there a switch or something I may have disabled that can cause this or was it the latest upgrade????

As I said it just happened in the last few days........

See What to do if Firefox won't play any sounds and Fix common audio and video issues

You can click the Volume icon on the Windows Taskbar near the clock and click the Mixer link at the bottom to open the mixer.
You can adjust the volume level for each application in that window, so make sure that Firefox is not muted or set at a low level.
You will only see the Firefox program in the Mixer if you are on a website that plays sound.

I thought I had fixed it by updating to FF3.6.12, however...the fix only lasted a few minutes and then quit as quickly as it came back.....

THIS PROBLEM IS NOT SOLVED....it is still happening.....to hear one song or hear one video I have to completely uninstall the Adobe Flash Player amd reinstall it...then I can hear 1 piece of audio.....if I try to change songs or samples then I no longer have any audio.....

This really sucks!!!!!!

I do still have all the audio I want in IE, Opera, Safari, & Chrome

Did you try to clear the Flash cookies?

Do you have other (cleanup) software that deals with browser content or Flash local objects (LSO)?

If uninstalling and reinstalling Flash works then that can indicate a problem with Flash LSO.

I went into tools...down to web dev...and then cleared all the adobe cookies I could find.......

I have no clean up software on this computer that I know of...........

when I find the flash LSO area do I want to allow or dis allow all.......

This only came about when FF upgraded....I cannot remeber having any problems like this in the past.....also in the past i could go into Programs...adobe..... adobe flash plaer and get to flash player control panels,,,,now it doesn't show the flash player as an enity..........

I hate being like this but....I have audio for now...knock on wood.......I have no clue as to what has made this stuff work...... thru out this ordeal I have searched for all the cookies I could find and deleted them....I unstalled and reinstalled the adobe flash player (which is a plug in) several times...I unstalled adobe media player...i unstalled adbove activex.....I installed adobe flash player for 64bit operating systems and finally I just, in the last 5 minutes, reinstalled adobe flash player 10.1-....whatever the newest non beta version is........on amazon, I was getting audio thru windows media player, which was fine......now I guess it is thru the adobe flash player as there is no pop up window asking if I want to player the MP3 file....on you tube ,so far, I can play what I want.....tomorrow I will again try to get into a kelby video tute.......this has been a harrowing experience....my next move was to slowly remove all soft ware off computer and do a complete format and reinstall.....this happened and stopped me from cloning my c drive which I usually do as I add needed software so if the c drive craps out I can quickly and effortlessly be back working.........

I still have no clue what an Adobe Flash LSO is or where to find it or what it is called on the adobe flash support site...searches were futile....I did find it on wikipedia but that was a generic LSO ........

THANX to all that helpped......

Even if you solved your problem, I would like to say that there may be other cause for this problem.

I had the same when I was using ASIO drivers (external sound card). This is due to a parameter in Windows hardware configuration which allow to a program to get exclusive control of this device. So the solution in this case is to disable this exclusive control in sound card propriety page, or kill the first program which use this device.

Actually I do not consider my problem solved and the reason is simple....if it were to happen again, I cannot duplicate what I have done to fix it this time......so in essence it is not fixed but no longer a problem at this time.....
