I want to try FF 4 beta but not if my working 3.6.9 version is replaced. What happens to the older installation when the beta is installed?

Since most people will wonder about it, this question should be addressed on the download page for the beta and not need to be asked.

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

The Firefox 4.0 beta versions are released for testing purposes and are unfinished releases with known bug and limitations.
You should not rely on them and always keep a regular release to use in case of problems.
You should only use such test releases if you are experienced enough to deal with issues.
The beta version should install in separate directory and you should also create a new profile for that version to avoid corruption of the Firefox 3.6.x profile.

Installing

Please note that installing Firefox 4 Beta will not overwrite your existing installation of Firefox. You won’t lose any of your bookmarks or browsing history, but some of your extensions and other add-ons might not work until updates for them are made available.
