Isisombululo esikhethiwe

First of all set Windows 7 to show hidden files and folders, for details of how to do this see http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial151.html

Now search your entire computer for a file called places.sqlite, you will find at least one copy in your current profile folder (location where user data is stored). For details of how to access your profile folder see the profiles article.

If there is a second copy of this file elsewhere then that may contain your old bookmarks. With Firefox closed, rename the version in your current profile folder to places.sqlite.old, then copy the other file into your profile folder. Re-start Firefox to see if your old bookmarks are back.
