Firefox won't print a full web page. When I check the print preview, it only shows what will print and the whole page is not displayed. I tried resetting my printer in about:config and that never helped. I am stumped and need help to resolve this please.

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

I am using Firefox 3.6.3 on my MacOSx (Snow Leopard) MacPro laptop. My HP or Brothers or Sansung printers will not print anything I retrieved using Firefox 3.6.3. I can print though using Safari. I can print Word documents, Excel spreads. But not anything if Firefox 3.6.3 is involved.

An error message appeared :Script: file:///Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOSmodules/NetworkPrioritizer.jsm:175

Please advise or release 3.6.4

I get a print error every time I try to print from Firefox 3.6.3. Also, it somehow screws up the print quieu, and nothing subsequently will print either--until I restart Windows, and, on restarting, everything just prints out. Resetting via about:config does NOT help at all. Emptying the print quieu by stopping the spooler and removing the .spl job likewise accomplishes nothing.

Suggestions?

An Apple Genius fixed the problem at the Annapolis, MD Apple store for free. My wife took my MacBook Pro there for me while I was out of town. She said it was fixed in about 10 minutes. She not recall or understand what the Genius did. She did recall that he mentioned reset preferences and he was cute.

Everything now prints anywhere.

No...I tried the reset option as I mentioned above. It didn't work. But I think I just figured it out. The page margin was set up to something like 7000 in to the right. really, I have no idea how it got like that. So I was printing a blank page. Go figure...................

Print Preview should have displayed nothing with a side margin set incorrectly by that much. And that setting should have been "wiped" by the reset of printer preferences.

Well excuse ME! Are you telling me I am a liar? I had performed the printer reset procedure even twice. And I did find the page set up defaulted to a large side margin. Should have, could have, what have ya.

The print preview only showed the web address and that's all that would print. I figured it out on my own.

It's fixed!

No I'm not, all I am saying is that if resetting the main pref didn't work, then resetting all the prefs for that printer (as mentioned in that article) should have reset that pref.

Doug,

" The print preview only showed the web address and that's all that would print. I figured it out on my own.

What did you do? I've encountered this same issue on few webpages and have not seen a solution always.

It turns out, that for everything I wanted to print, it defaulted to a page setup that was incorrect. I noticed the scroll bar on the setup screen and moved it back (home). It was set way over to the right for some unknown reason. One I returned it to it's proper place, everything printed correctly. Seems dumb, but it wasn't easy to see or figure out. I hope you understand.

Try This!

1) Go to Print Preview 2) Print 3) Name: HP PSC 2100 series (depend on your printer) 4) Properties... 5) Paper size: letter 6) Change to Paper size: A6 7) OK 8) Repeat step 4 again 9) Change back again Paper size: letter 10) OK 11) Don't print, but go back to Print Preview again and see if it works

This is the one that have work for me after trying several times modifying about:config with no success. Good luck and hope that will help.
