I can't open Firefox in WIN 11 because it says it is already running, and i can't close it.

I can't open Firefox. I keep getting the message "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window.". I can't find it to close. I tried uninstalling it, but I keep circling back to the same message. I tried refreshing it and again same message. I un installled Surfshark VPN, I ran Windows Defender antivirus. I am now out of ideas. I do have two profiles, but the message about deleting them is scary. I don't want to do anything until I understand what I am doing.

Windows 11; all updates are installed, Dell computer purchased in October, with AMD processor.
