Overworking Firefox

I-Firefox Crashing and slow performance

Hello I am having major problems with Firefox at the moment and have done for a while. I curently have four pages open but as you can see from the attached screen shot of my Task Manager, there are 14 Firefox processes. The usage is OTT on memory and everything else. Could you tell me why this is happening? Currently it is running in Troubleshooting mode but that is not doing anything to improve the problem. It has been known to shut my computer down, as it gets too hot. I run on Windows 10 and Bitdefender is my security. All help is gratefully received. Thanks Lisa

Do you have any add-ons installed?

Hello Paul,

At the time I had 4 pages open. Yes, I have addon's, I have Facebook Container, FT AI checker and paraphraser, Cookie autodelete and Search by image (I have just deleted the last two). Sometimes I have more than 4 tabs open but I try to keep it to fourish. Thanks Lisa
