A few days ago thunderbird started getting clunky and freezing intermittently for about 30-40 seconds each time. I decided to uninstall it and re-install. Now when I launch TB it freezes and will not load at all. Tried opening in safe mode and that didn't work. I have accessed my profile folder but didn't want to do anything until I asked. Its setup as IMAP and I've used it for years with the same settings and never had any issues. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the response- I had not seen this till now or I would have tried this sooner.

YES the problem seems to go away when I followed these instructions

What would that mean the problem is?

Repeat Thunderbird in Troubleshoot Mode - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-mode-thunderbird, but not in Windows safe mode.

If the problem does not reproduce, then the issue is caused by a Thunderbird add-on or settings.

If the problem does reproduce, then the issue is caused by software that loads during Windows startup, for example antivirus software.

I am still having the issue when I run Thunderbird in troubleshoot mode.

I've also tried disabling Malwarebytes and still have this problem.
