These are the steps, but I suggest NOT doing it: 

 Exit Thunderbird if running.
   click windows key and 'r' key
   Enter: thunderbird.exe -P --allow-downgrade
   click on 'OK'

Instead, I encourage posting more about your problem so someone here can possibly assist. My concern is that reverting to a prior release may cause further problems.
