I'm on the Release channel, but was updated to 142.0 Beta. Surely this is wrong. I am not on the Beta channel. I just want to stay updated to the most recent stable release.

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

I suspect the beta label is a mistake. For example Bug 1981291 - Wrong branding shown for comm-beta and comm-release after merges

Please post new information in a few weeks after version 143 comes out.

I should add that I also downloaded and installed thunderbird-142.0.tar.xz from the Download page with Release Channel selected. Same result: Thunderbird Beta. I use Linux Mint 22.1.

Where exactly does it say beta? A screen shot will be help. Thanks

"Beta" appears in the main app window header, in the menu "Help > About Thunderbird Beta", and in the About dialog itself which informs me that "Thunderbird Beta is up to date".
