writing pen doesn't work for any text boxes in firefox

Tested writing in Edge and it worked just fine, tried the same thing in firefox and I couldn't write in any text boxes. firefox version is 141.0.2. Also tried opening firefox in it's troubleshooting mode and signing out and neither fixed the issue.
