Why are there multiple tab containers for private /secure tabs since no container stores data automatically?' Is there a way to auto store the data in a protected folder with same name as the container?

Hi Don, you can think of containers as having individual cookie jars and web content caches so that the tabs open in different containers -- even from the same site -- should be unaware of one another. That partitioning is separate from the question of whether data is saved to disk. Container tabs are in regular/normal/non-private windows. Private windows, which do use/share a separate cookie jar and cache, are the ones that avoid saving data on disk to limit traces of browsing activity on the system.

What did you have in mind for a protected folder? A folder in bookmarks, for downloads, etc.
