Why does firefox make browser tabs as windows, how to disable this?
Tonight I noticed that I have new windows created for each tab in my firefox window, how can this be turned off?

There is a setting to show each tab as a separate Windows on the Windows Taskbar. Could you check that:
Open the Settings page
In the tiny search box, type task
If there is a check mark for "Show tab previews in the Windows taskbar", uncheck the box.
Was that the problem?
