so i signed into my firefox account on a new computer and every time i hit the sync now button it brings a pop up for half a second then it disappears and no changes happen to my bookmarks or any of my other synced data.looked through the forums could not find anything that was even similar to my problem

I know Mozilla does a terrible job with this issue, but Sync is not a backup service. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/features/sync/ https://hacks.mozilla.org/2018/11/firefox-sync-privacy/ Sync is not a backup tool but it is a good sync/transfer/move tool https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/contributors/707681
