The Chromebook is slow anyway. I have searched the web and settings on the Chromebook and in apps. I cannot find any Startup controls or way of stopping several apps from loading. I use Linux elsewhere and am at least half savvy. it's hair pulling time...

Just Google it. Never been on a chromebook.

Also hit the Lenovo forum.

Thanks, I've googled just about all permutations. I've searched all options in Firefox and other apps. Suggested procedures when followed on my machine don't reveal the options quoted. I'm beginning to "dislike" this particular Chromebook since the Lenovo version seems to be a rogue amongst what may well be good products. Firefox is no longer what it used to be - a great configurable browser. As a retired IT Consultant heavily into all aspects of structured design from machine code to C++ it also seems to me that basic functionality is being obscured to shield numbties and old farts like me. We used to say if it ain't broke don't fix it. End of rant.😄

Hi

Are you using Firefox for Android or have you installed the Linux version of Firefox desktop?
