I can browse the internet normally except for the Amazon page; When I type www.amazon.es the browser does nothing; I have cleared cookies, history and reinstalled Firefox but it still does not direct me to the Amazon Spain page; however, I can navigate to www.amazon.com

Have you tried with other Browser to verify it wasn't a site issue during your attempt to login to the site?
