resigned addons
The past two days Ive had about a dozen addons all updated with the same similarity, i.e.
visited-color picker 1.2resigned1
Every one has not been updated for 6-7 years. I don't see any release notes. Is this some sort of qualifying re-certification procerss?

Hadn't you used this profile for the past years ?
That happens if the certificate that is used to sign the extensions has been renewed, this has happened in May 2019 when the intermediate certificate that is used to sign extensions hosted on the Add-ons website expired.

All I can say is, I dont understand how your explanation is relevant or applies to the events I experienced regarding the past two days.
I can't recall any time in years when, in one day, 10 addons were in need of an update, and two more the next day, all of which had not been updated since seven years ago, all of which contained this "resigned" label, and there were no release notes listed for any one of them.
I'm not saying there is anything is wrong here. I was just interested in an explanation. If you like, I can list all the addons it pertains to. Neither one of them has reported an update.
All add-ons submitted to AMO prior to April 5, 2019 that are hosted on AMO will be automatically re-signed in the near future ... to provide a stronger signature for a more secure add-ons ecosystem.
