been at it a week everywhere. how can I change the resresh rate about 60MH. desktop preferences is greyed out. command line didnt do it. not a programmers, please keep it simple. was hoping a GUI would make life easier. its blocky on a slow screen scroll. tried loads everywhere. I think it might not happen in chrome.

You could try enabling or disabling hardware acceleration.

Wayland will give you smoother results if it is available with you distribution, it can be enabled with the environment variable MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1.

Note that if you enabled privacy.resistFingerprinting in about:config, your refresh rate will be limited to 60Hz.
