I am a member of the local library and I sometimes want to search the catalogue or reserve a book from home using my laptop. I have Googled how to put the menbership number and pin as a book mark and it is successful-but only for a short time . The next time I go to log on automatically it doesn't work and I have to input it manually.
I have been to the library and got staff there to put the details in and it works when I am there at the library but fails when I am home.(2 very capable library people tried and both eventually failed)
My library membership number is very long and it is tedious to enter it every time-can you help please? Thanks Peter

Is that field where you enter the menbership number part of a login form (e.g. the username) or is this just a normal text field ?
The username field of a login form would have "Use Saved Login" in the right-click context menu.
