Obviously it is not up to me. As you recall, I warned that it was a temporary preference.

There is work under way to make the button movable to another location on the toolbar, similar to the way the non-removable Back and Forward buttons can be moved. That work wasn't finished in time for Firefox 111.

There is a proposal to make it possible to move the button into the overflow menu with other built-in buttons, but I don't know whether that will be adopted.

i think this design is not logical coz as i said -some things we can drag and this one not. why just not this one? we have this possibility by these 3 stripes, so its realy enough .we would like to have own choice ,right? so pls forward it to the right department to adjust it..

Now you need this button due to a new addons' permission model. So it can't be hidden.

Usually these transitional about:config preferences are temporary and only last a few versions. Mozilla is gathering feedback on being able to move/remove the button over on Mozilla Connect -- vote now (click the "thumbs up" button to vote) before it's too late:

i just read that you forbid removing this addon which came back ! is this true?

Do you mean the Extensions button? The temporary preference that existed in Firefox 110 and earlier was removed, so starting in Firefox 111, there is no easy way to switch back to using the overflow menu for add-on buttons, those will all be on the Extensions button drop-down.

yes, i mean this button. earlier , as you see above, i could remove it . now, using this tip from jan.20th ,its not possible and this is what i-we all-dont like ...i dont understand -why you forbid this? i am not allowed to have a free choice, to choose what i want, like, in your ? company, right?
