Proton is a mail provider. Thunderbird is not.

Thunderbird has apps for linux, Windows, Mac. Proton does not. But https://proton.me/mail/download has android, IOS, and web.

Perhaps you should consider, do you need (or want) the security aspects of proton?

So thunderbird doesn't have name@thunderbird.com like proton, outlook and gmail haves? Thunderbird is getting a android app. K-9 mail is changing in thunderbird later in future. So thunderbird is like the outlook app where you can have different emails stored like outlook and gmail in one app?
