Firefox for Windows Desktop Cannot Switch Between Tabs
Hi,
Firefox will not let me switch between tabs using the mouse.
I can open new tabs but cannot navigate between them.
I can pin tabs and close tabs by right clicking and selecting from the menu but when I left click a tab to select it nothing happens.
It is not my mouse as this is working fine in other apps and navigating between tabs in chrome works fine.
I tried updating to the latest version of firefox (as at 15/11/22) but this has still not resolved it.
I also cannot get into settings or extensions as when I click on those it opens a new tab but I then cannot navigate to it.
Please can someone help as currently it is completely unusable.
Thanks.

Does the same thing happen if you start in troubleshoot mode?
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode
Hi,
Yes I have tried troubleshoot mode (both open and refresh options and still have the issue).
I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and still have the issue.
I also did a further update so now on version 107.0 (64bit)
Any further suggestions?
I have used firefox for years without any issue on the same pc.
Can you use the keyboard (Ctrl+PageDown/PageUp) ?
Did you try to reboot the computer ?
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support to see if that has effect.
Using the keyboard does nothing either (but this works in Chome). I have rebooted several times. I have also tried turning off my antivirus and firewall but still have the issue.
I will try safe mode next.
Can you focus the Tab bar via keyboard navigation (Ctrl+L and a few times Shift+Tab) ?
I can move between tabs using shift and tab and a blue outline moves between the tabs but it won't select any of them.
