Every other day I get a notice to update and restart and all it does is "download" or so it shows, sunts down never restarts. When I restart the browser it is the exact same version. Itis constantly ging no where. Any thoughts.............

This to me tells me update never happend or the security software blocked or corrupted the update or Addon is blocking the update verification. So how does your firefox update manually by downloading the latest and installing or Auto update?

Thanks to you both, but it was just not taking the update. but not only was this an issue but several others, so I made a new profile and it seems the problem is solved. Once I know I have all the passwords and bookmarks is it then safe to delete the old profile?
