Please forgive a stupid question.

My university required my to remove my Thunderbird account on my home computer in order to comply with Modern Authentication. I was assured that my Thunderbird inbox would not be lost.

However, after I set up my account again, the inbox is lost. Is there any way for me to get back the email messages that I had in my inbox before I removed my account?
