Unable to use Thunderbird backup dated 09-24-2022 to rebuild my email
Backblaze went into "Frozen Safety" mode on 9-25-2022 and in doing so, rolled my email back to 5-12-2022. All emails after that date were no longer present under my existing profile. I have downloaded the Thunderbird Folder backup containing my profile as it existed on 9-24 in hopes of using it. So far, I have found it impossible to use the backup. I've read various suggestions about how to revert to the 9-24 backup. None of them have worked. Perhaps I've missed something. Perhaps this is something that can't be accomplished with Thunderbird. Perhaps someone has an approach I haven't tried or can refer me to additional documentation on different approaches.
Thank you...Mark R

Thank you. I did talk to Backblaze for an hour. They have the files I need, that is, a copy of my Thunderbird folder as it existed on 9-24. I have downloaded it and unzipped it. What I haven't figured out is how to get Thunderbird to see it as current. I tried the import profile tool and received message "Import failed unexpectedly..." and referred me to the error console for more information. This was the most recent step in a series of failures.

I would have thought you would ask the folk that caused the issue how to recover from it. I have just spent time google who this backlblaze is and then trying to work out what a Frozen safety thingy is.
AFAICT this is something the software from backblaze has done and it was intentional, so I guess they have a system to backup when the make a complete mess of things.
Thunderbird V102 has a profile import on the tools menu which may import your backup. If it is in it's original state and not some sort of compressed format.
