AT&T / Yahoo Email Log-in - Too many attemps (and get locked out for 24 hours)

Yahoo / AT&T Email - why does Firefox appear to send too many log-in attempts to AT&T Yahoo email? This happens on my Windows 10 computer, my wife's computer and also on two computers belonging to relatives in a different state. Email works OK for a few days and then all the sudden when we try to log in, AT&T comes back and tells you you're either locked out (again) or you (again) have to change your password because of too many log-in try's. This is only on PC's running Firefox. Cell phones and iPad's all work great and never have the email log-in issue, which leads me to believe it's a Firefox problem.
