Any workaround ideas for installing Firefox on "new" iPad with OS 12.5.5 that son bought father for Father's Day gift? I love Firefox, my default on old iPhone and new iMac (and old iMac). Thanks, Pat Terry

According to Wikipedia I take it you have a old iPad mini 2nd or 3rd gen model or a old iPad Air 1st gen if the latest update you can install is iOS 12.5.5

iPad Air 2nd gen and iPad min 4th gen is supported with iPad iOS 15.x and later iPads are still supported with current iPad OS.

A way you may be able to install a older version of Firefox for iOS is if you have installed compatible (for iOS 12.5.5) versions of Firefox as you can reinstall them from your Purchase History.

in Settings > iTunes & App Store > click on your Apple ID > View Apple ID > Purchase History. It will show app you installed whether for free or paid for.

Otherwise you cannot side load a older version like you can with .apk or Android.
