new windows open behind taskbar

more options

In a Win11 environ: The e-mail client I use for, essentially, junk mail is set up to open a new window for composing & reading e-mails. However, the windows are opening BEHIND my Taskbar which I've moved to the top of the screen (something Win11 doesn't officially offer [for some ungodly f!@$%ng reason]), so I'm using a workaround via my registry). The only way to close the new windows is to extend them out onto my 2nd monitor to which I usually extend my display to, so that the X can be clicked.

Is there something I can do about this? See pic. THX!

The windows open in Firefox?

I gather that Firefox doesn't see that the Taskbar was moved, since if it did, it should open the window below the bar.

As a short term workaround:

The keyboard shortcut Ctrl+W will close the current tab. If it is the last tab in the window, it also will close the window. If it is the last tab in your entire Firefox session, it also will quit Firefox (on Windows; Mac and Linux may work differently).

If the windows are not opening in Firefox:

This is not the best forum for help on the unnamed email program. However, the generic Windows keyboard shortcut to close a document is Ctrl+F4 so maybe that will be useful.
