links (e.g. within email news bulletins) to other sites don't work - I often (but not always) just get an error screen.

Often (but weirdly, not always) when I click on a link within an email, e.g. a daily news bulletin from a trusted source with a story that contains a link to another site or the original source of the story, I just get a blank page with the message, "sorry, we don't seem to be able to find that server" and it gives me three options for fixing the problem, one of which is "try again later". Of the other two options mentioned; one refers to a firewall, and I think the other option said, "the site may be busy". Of course it's not doing it now, but sometimes it is really annoying when I can't open linked sites. What gives?
