Moved profile to new computer Thunderbird (91.5) and it's constantly crashing [@ common_end_thread ]
Hi, The profile works fine on the old computer (both Win 10) but constantly crashes on the new one. I've tried EVERY fix attempt I could find online, (some are: delete .msf files and parent lock files, delete everything (including registry entries) re-install, "fix" mail folders, replace prefs.js, etc.) but have had no luck. It does work in safe mode on the new computer. I have no addons or themes, that I can see, to remove but when I restart in normal mode it crashes again. any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time, Dave

I have not seen these before.
- Please start *Windows'* in safe mode with networking enabled
win10 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12376/windows-10-start-your-pc-in-safe-mode
- Still in Windows safe mode, start Thunderbird in Troubleshoot mode

Does problem go away?
Hi Wayne, Thanks to taking the time to reply. I did as you said and Thunderbird works fine like that. As I mentioned earlier, when I start Thunderbird in safe/troubleshoot mode on the new computer (without starting Windows in safe mode) it works fine. I restarted after trying your suggestion and Thunderbird crashed again, as before.

Everything else works fine on the computer, program wise, and I've had no other crashes.
I tried setting up a new profile and that worked for a time, but when I went back and tried the problem profile it crashed and then the new profile crashed after I went back to it. It will start up and receive email, but crash when I try to send anything, or access the account setting or preferences- things like that. It will even crash after a minute or so, if I do nothing.
As I said the profile gives me no problems on my old computer (Acer), but there's something about it that conflicts with the new computer (HP). I have so many messages I'd like to transfer over, but I hate having to remember to start in safe mode every time. I've done the profile transfer method on other computers, over the past years and this is the first time Thunderbird has acted up like this. It is my "go to" email program.
Hoping you might have any further suggestions? Thanks again, Dave
