If you can't get Firefox to open, you will have to do this the hard way. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mozillacrashreporter

Open the file browser / explorer on your computer. Note: You may have to enable Show Hidden Folders / Files. Enter this in the address box;

Windows: %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted Win 7/Vista: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted Win XP/2000: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted Win 10: Press <Windows> + R on the keyboard. A Run dialog will open. In the Run dialog, type %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted <Enter>

Mac OS: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Crash Reports/submitted Linux: /home/<username>/.mozilla/firefox/Crash Reports/submitted

Copy the most Recent 5-7 File Names in the folder. Press the Reply button. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/update-firefox-latest-version?cache=no Did you update Firefox to the latest version?

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1359657#answer-1463359 and updated to 95.0. . . . I finally found where the plugin "Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by Google Inc." was not updating to the newest version of December 1, 2021. Ver #4.10.2391.0

cor-el; Make sure you have the latest Widevine version. You can toggle DRM off/on to see if that makes Firefox (re)load DRM components.

You can possibly check the XHR requests in the Browser Console if this doesn't work.

(In reply to mnlsrv from comment #37) > Facing the same issue on macOS Monterey 12.0.1 (stable - Apple M1) with latest Firefox 93.0. > Refresh and reinstallation didn't solve. The crash either occurs at launch or randomly. > > This is likely due to some changes on macOS SIP, namely after running the following commands: > > ``` > csrutil enable --without kext --without fs --without nvram > nvram boot-args="amfi_get_out_of_my_way=1" > ```

Sorry, I have accidentally sent an old code. This one is more recent:

I have now deactivated Widevine.

May it have something to do with the 1password add-on?

Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

I have started it in safe mode on the console using firefox-bin -safe-mode. Now it seem to work until I close the application. At that time it crashs again. "Exiting due to channel error." The report is now: bp-9ea9356f-aee9-4cd1-9dca-f71440211220
