Why does Thunderbird 94.0.2 crashe on loading large image files? Like larger than 3MB?

Every time I receive image files larger than 2 or 3 MB with EITHER of my email accounts (Gmail or Charter), Thunderbird 94.0.2 crashes/locks up and I have to do a CTRL-ALT-DELETE to use Windows Task Manager to "END Thunderbird Process" to close it.

Why?

And what am I doing wrong to cause this?

Dell Inspiron N7110, i7 2630QM Quad-Core at 2GHz, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, W10 Pro x64 Fully Current.

Thank You for any help.
