After quitting a company, in Thunderbird I removed the related IMAP account I had for it on my home desktop (Office365 account) with the "remove account" action.

Yet the associated folder named "outlook.office365.com " within "ImapMail" is still there. How can I remove that too? I can reuse the 16GB it takes.

Thanks, George

Locate your Thunderbird profile. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-thunderbird-stores-user-data#w_how-to-find-your-profile

Close Thunderbird.

Use Windows Explorer to locate the orphan folder of the deleted account. Delete the folder in the file system.

Start Thunderbird. The folder should now be gone.
