I recently upgraded Yahoo Mail Pro to Yahoo Mail Plus on my PC with my preferred browser Firefox. The mail pulls up on the screen, but does not respond to the check boxes. It can only be viewed and not deleted. If I use Microsoft Edge the update works fine.

After posting this query I found that the URL saved by my password manager apparently created the problem. Starting from scratch with login.yahoo.com worked.

Hi Patricia, are the checkboxes on Yahoo Mail the only ones that are not behaving correctly? Could you compare the settings page, for example:

If those boxes stay empty regardless of clicking on them, it could be the new glitch in Firefox 91 among users who switched the browser.proton.enabled preference to false. Could you double-check that:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.

(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste browser.proton.enabled and pause while the list is filtered

(3) If the preference has a value of false, double-click it to restore the default value of true
