Facebook has become really slow on Firefox over the last week or so. It is not every time, every day, but the biggest issue is that the images in posts do not appear in a timely manner. I don't seem to have the issue with Safari or Chrome. I checked to see that I do have the most recent Firefox version. 90.0.2 (64-bit) I am on a Mac book pro. thanks!

p.s The image below is a screen shot of an example of the problem. The images never loaded, even in the time it too for me to find out how to ask the question, and then ask it

Make sure you are not blocking content.

Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

You can check the Network Monitor to see if content is blocked or otherwise fails to load.

If necessary use "Ctrl+F5" or "Ctrl+Shift+R" (Mac: Command+Shift+R) to reload the page and bypass the cache to generate a fresh log.

You can check the connection settings.

  • Settings -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

Try to disable IPv6 (check for other possible causes as well).
