I am NOT a techie but when I had this problem, I had to change some settings in Search. See attached image where I've highlighted the areas. I hope this helps.

Thanks for reply. I tried all that already with no change. Still getting Bing search even though I removed it from settings. Mozzilla allows MS Edge apps to overwrite the deletions. MS Edge cannot be uninstalled from the Surface. I need them to give me an option to overwrite.

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; (<Control> [Mac=<Command>] <Shift> A)

In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Remove “ Bing “ Anything.

Also remove SafeSearch, SearchAssist Incognito, FileConverter Addon, SearchLock, DiscreteSearch, WebSearch, Findwide Search Engine, securedsearch

Now do the same in the computer’s Programs Folder.

Windows: Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. Mac: Open the Applications folder. Linux: Check your user manual.
