We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A list of Submitted/Unsubmitted Crash Reports will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Submitted Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

Is this with all websites/pages, some, a few?

Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Now i have change from one to other tab ans its hang i can only close all windows of firefox. Who is the logs from firefox? Its not only one website that make problems.

We want to see if the problem can be tracked to something.

Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?

If the problem goes away with the computer in Safe Mode, the problem is with one of the other programs on the system.

As a test, disable your protection programs.

Its all websites makes problem and all open windows from firefox. I cant say when its hang. Its not one Tab or one Windows that does problems. Its hang when i'm changing to tab to other tab when i does nothing, its no hang.

I haven't safe mode Linux. Problem is when i use safe mode on firefox i haven't all my tabs open.

What i not understand is why since update 89.0.0 i have problems before i had make this update nothing problems? All still running good. How is it possible? I think this update have make this problem? I haven't make any changes on settings, all add-ons are disabled when not using. How can i make rollback ?

I'm no using security Tool (antivirus) only malware can cleamAV.

Hey Nic,

Are you familiar with strace? What flavor of Linux are you running? KDE or Gnome?

The following examples starts firefox and stores the strace output(o option)to firefox_txt file with time stamps(t option)on each line. You can then check the output for errors.

The screenshot is an example to trace firefox via the process id.

strace -to firefox_txt firefox
