Hello there libirim. We have read your message We try to help you.

Screen flickering in Windows 10 is usually caused by display drivers. ... Select the Delete the driver software for this device check box, then select Uninstall and restart your PC. After your PC restarts, press the Windows logo key + I on your keyboard to open Settings.

But only your pane is flickering sometime disappears within Thunderbird, oke. Something to do with other software cause of starting up in safe modus. Clean your graphic card.

Hello there again Libirim.

There is indeed a bug nr Bug 340982 it is caused because the window is closed as it should not and is causing an internal error. to see if this is correct move the cursor of your mouse to the far left side until the double cursor image appears. press your mouse buttons until it can be moved to drag it to the right.

Try View|Layout and check "Folder Pane". Is it that pane still there?

In Mozilla Thunderbird, drag the splitter of the message pane down, until the message pane is no longer visible, the reading pane then collapses.

Test in Thunderbird Safe Mode.

If it disappears then:

  • Menu app icon > Options > General
  • scroll to the bottom
  • uncheck : 'Use hardware acceleration when available'

Restart Thunderbird and report back on results.

Thanks I tried the safe mode but it did not solve my problem. I have tried a different video driver, and so far no flicking.
