lost passwords

For some reason my browser was running slow and I got a message about the browser running slow and if I wanted to refresh it. So I did and t took really long time. Once it was done it made me create an account to sync my bookmarks etc. Reluctantly I did, and once that was created i was about to import book marks, etc from other browsers but for some reason all of my passwords from Mozilla were gone and there is no way to "import" them. PLEASE help. I had 90% of my passwords saved into that password manager and no where else. It did create a "File" on my desktop called "old Firefox data" but there is nothing in there that I can visibly see that states passwords. HELP!!!

Hello queen,

your passwords are likely stored on your FireFox account for syncing.

if you have used sync in FF, at this time "do not sync" and instead log out.

if you sync, your current deletions will over write what is stored at the account.

btw: is the microsoft edge browser installed on your system. if so, take a look and see if there is a copy of your logins and pw's in it.
