when saving a web page to bookmarks.....
when saving a bookmark the name field is too far right .......how can i get it to "open" on the left side of the name field?

- use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
You can start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
If you mean this: when the panel drops down you see the last part of the page title, and you want to see the first part instead.
Unfortunately, I don't think you can control how it comes up initially. The fastest workaround is to use keyboard: press the up arrow or Home key to move the cursor to the beginning of the text input in that form field, and Firefox will show the text there:
(I think that is how single-line form fields on web pages work, too, it not something special about this particular panel.)
