Problem loading Google Drive
Hi there,
We use GMail/ Calendar/ Drive for our business. On the official account, I am seeing a continuous - multi-day - situation where my Google Drive won't load when I point my browser to it unless I do at least one refresh after getting to Drive and waiting for my list of folders and documents to show up.
In the mean time, the following error shows upon on the bottom left of my screen - "The server encountered an error. Please try again later." - this has persisted for over 2 weeks when I restarted using Fiefox earlier this month. I do not get this error when using Chrome or Safari.
Today, I am also not able to see the user who last modified a document or a folder last, as you can see in the image below.
Please tell me what I can do to fix this issue.
Thanks, Mahesh

What extensions do you have ?
Do you have any content blocking extensions ?
If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing the problem by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.

Can you look here to see if there is anything being blocked? see screenshot
Hi there,
Thank you for your help. No, there's nothing blocked as you can see in the attached screenshot here. Also, there's an alternate version of the error message on the bottom left. The issue with loading user details persists. Also, when I hit the "+ New" button, I don't get to see any of the "file add" options - as you will see in the dropdown menu in the second attachment.
Hope you can help!
Thanks
Also, just fyi, this is happening ONLY for Google Drive, not for GMail or Google Calendar, etc. And I am on the latest version of Firefox - when I check for updates, it says I am on the latest version.
And, finally, Google Drive seems to be working fine on Chrome and Safari. I'm hoping I can get the Firefox issue resolved.

This will be difficult for me personally to replicate because I don't have other users sharing with me via Google Drive. You can share something with me to see if I get the same errors. I'll send you message.
Hi there,
Could you please share your email? I need it for being able to share a folder and document with you on my Google Drive. My apologies in this delay in responding - because as I tried to create the folder/ document, I ran into more issues with using Firefox for G Drive :) - and I have almost given up - but still want to get to the bottom of this issue.
Thanks very much for your help. My email is mahesh@digite.com in case you would prefer to connect that way.
Regards, Mahesh
hello mah,
Cookies play a vital role.
Have you reviewed the privacy features in FF's Options section? Paste and Go to the following URL:
about:preferences#privacy
It could very well be that the cookie for that service is corrupted or not being able to download onto your system
My suggestion is to delete the cookies for google drive and retry the service. See Pic.
His cookie settings appear to be Standard because nothing appears to be blocked from his earlier pics.

Going to have him share something with me so I can see if I get the same error down in that Shared By section.

Hi ~dbben ·´¯`·...¸>-)))º>
Thanks for your support. I tried it just now. It did not make a difference unfortunately. Same error messages and same behavior of the app. I tried restarting the browser as well.
Still hoping to get help!
Thanks!
We know you have the error. I'm trying to replicate that Shared By section on my side to see if I get the error.

Which is why you need to share something with me.

Sounds like a good idea.
But everyone once in a while i also have trouble going directly to a https site. To overcome this, i had to go to the www first.
So while i am not an expert Mozilla, i rationalize the issue as with some security certificate.
In any case, i eagerly await your findings. Thanks!

I need your email in order to share something on my G Drive with you. Please provide here or send me via my email shared earlier.
Thanks!
You should be able to just share with me since I just shared with you.
I just sent you the link to the document via messages (Inbox option). If I just share with p272, I get the attached error.
Also, I don't yet see anything that you've shared with me - sorry!
Go it. I'm not getting your error. I see you are using MAC... ;-/ Do you have Windows or Linux just to verify?
OMG... Let go get the Mac in the house...
Ah.. - no sorry, I don't. It's working fine on other browsers - just not on FF. Also, Gmail and Calendar, etc. all seem to work well too.
Not sure if it matters, but is that the free Google Drive or Corp?
It's corporate.
