Using my Lenovo 10" tablet I just couldn't understand why I wasn't able to scroll at all in yandex.com under images when it took me to a second window, whenever I choose (clicked) any image using the desktop mode in landscape orientation, and why the screen would just flash white and take a long time for the images to come in when scrolling through the first search results screen as well? I thus and reluctantly download other browsers just to see if this issue was universal and it is definitely not. The other popular yet unnamed browsers work flawlessly in both regards and this truly stumped me as to why the firefox browser couldn't do the same? Today I decided to download the firefox browser on my Android phone, as believe it or not I only use the phone for outgoing and incoming calls, as my aging eyes just can't see things on these devices, and it Unbelievably worked flawlessly in landscape and stadard orientation as well. I then put my tablet in standard orientation and it Unbelievably worked great. All I then could conclude and I definitely may be wrong here, which I really hope I am, yet it seems firefox on a tablet in the desktop mode in landscape orientation doesn't work like it does on an android phone and I just don't understand why? Because of this unfortunate limitation in this great browser on a tablet I'm now regretfully "forced" to keep and use another browser whenever using yandex.com or any site that could yeild the same issue and if anyone graciously has the solution minus using my tablet in standard orientation I would very greatly appreciate it? Regards, S.D.

Hmm, when Firefox for Android detects that it is running on a tablet, it may signal the site that it is a Linux app instead of an Android app, in order to get a desktop experience. I don't know whether that could be happening on your device or whether it could be incompatible with Yandex. Can you tell whether you are getting a desktop page on your tablet instead of the mobile page that works on your phone?

When you go to yandex.com site under images on a tablet or phone and are in the desktop mode a camera icon appears in the car right of the search box. If you are in mobile mode you don't see the camera. Now, if you put any search query in the search box it will bring to a screen of your query images and if you choose any image it then brings you to a screen where your chosen image appears on the left and additional similar mages appear on the right in a scroll window. I can not scroll these images in landscape orientation and I just don't know why?

Can you tell whether you are getting a desktop page on your tablet instead of the mobile page that works on your phone? Yes and very easily as the sites view gets resized smaller on the phone and much larger on the tablet when in the desktop mode.

Also the search query steps and screens are different when in the desktop mode opposed to the mobile mode.

I wish I had another tablet where I could see if the same issue happens on it yet I unfortunately do not.

Thanks for the gracious information, which I definitely will explore, yet through the past days I believe I have been able to conclude that Firefox for Android unfortunately just doesn't play well with my tablet and possibly tablets in general and especially in the Desktop mode and Landscape orientation, which I greatly prefer.

In regards to yandex.com site issue, what I have noticed through further investigation is: if the retrieved images in the second screen of the search query, as mentioned previously, are just enough to fill the entire display in the Desktop mode yet standard orientation then the scroll function doesn't work at all if put the tablet in the Landscape orientation even though you can easily see that there are other images that must be scrolled to see.

This doesn't happen on the cell phone at all yet just the tablet and this unfortunate limitation for me and as said previously, has just reluctantly forced me to use another browser when using the yandex.com site or any other one where the issue may or can occur.

Thanks for the gracious information as I will definitely look into it yet I have been able to conclude, after further investigation and issues, that Firefox for android unfortunately doesn’t play well with my tablet and possibly all tablets in the Desktop mode and Landscape orientation and which I only prefer to use.

Even in other sites it wants to constantly default to standard mobile mode even though I choose Desktop mode. Example: You're on a site in the Desktop mode and you click a link, it either takes you to the link and opens in the standard mode or if hopefully not, after you close the linked tab you're returned back to the original site but Unbelievably now in the standard mode even though the toggled menu switch shows Desktop mode and this is just very frustrating. When you try toggling the switch to actually get the mode wanted it just remains in the mode it defaulted to and the only way you can get the mode you want, which in my case is Desktop mode, is you must close the tab and then start all over again, which is truly very frustrating, time consuming & disheartening.

Like I said in the aforementioned, Firefox for Android on my tablet unfortunately just doesn't play well in Desktop mode and Landscape orientation yet on the flip side; I'm also very appreciative & thankful for their grateful free browser and service as well.

Although I'm truly grateful for your time and input, cut-short roundabout answers such as yours make absolutely no sense and definitely bring nothing to the issue whatsoever as well.
