Hi, it is normal for the arrow to "hide" until the first download of the session, but it should be visible after that. Try going into the Customize mode -- this article will get you there: [[Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars]] -- and check whether the button is available in the box of available buttons, or has moved to a different bar. Once you find the arrow, to turn off auto-hiding, click the arrow button and un-check the box to disable it. Can you get it working the way you want?
