So here is what I finally tried. Not sure why I did not think of it before. <Windows> R cmd cd \program Files cd Moz* Firefox.exe
it came up! opened up a new full screen window and all when everything else fails. Just go "under the windows"

Did you totally remove all Firefox program folders? Or just do an uninstall?
Use these links to create a new profile. Use this new profile as is. Is the problem still there?

I checked the Firefox folder under \program Files. The entire Mozilla Firefox folder was gone after uninstalling.
I also tried running firefox.exe -p It emits the same beep (after about 10 seconds) as when I click on the firefox icon on the desktop. Then nothing.
I also tried to run Firefox.exe as an administrator from its Mozilla Firefox folder. Same behavior - a beep and noting more.
same behavior when running firefox -Profilemanager . About 10 seconds of silence, then a beep, then nothing The number of Background processes as displayed in Task manager does not change. Neither does the number of Windows processes. Needless to say, Firefox never appears in the Apps listing.
I called for more help.
