Firefox has a global scaling factor you can use to adjust the zoom level of text everywhere including the toolbar and sidebar areas. This is a little bit tricky to set, but if you want to give it a try:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste devp and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click layout.css.devPixelsPerPx and change its value to 2.5 then press Return or click the blue button to change the change.
If you have a Retina (double-resolution) display: The text should enlarge by 125%
If you have a standard (single-resolution) display: The text should enlarge by 250%
To make this more useful, you can experiment with other values using the same method: double-click, edit, save.
Please be careful not to select too low a value to avoid everything becoming tiny. If that happens, hold down the Command key and tap the + key several times until you can see the Reset button (arching left-pointing arrow at the right end of the bar) and click that to return to normal. Then hold down the Command key and tap 0 (that's zero) to reset the zoom and you can start again.
Can you get it to work the way you want?
when i go there it shows a value of -1.
change it to -2.0 and checked the blue check mark........no change
Do not use the minus for your own values.
A value of 1.0 means 100%, values smaller that 1.0 like 0.95 or 0.9 make all content smaller and values larger than 1.0 like 1.05 or 1.1 magnify. The layout.css.devPixelsPerPx pref can be adjusted in 0.05 or 0.1 steps.
changed from -1.0 to 1.0 . it only made the text so small i could barely read it.
You can increase the value in 0.5 (5%) steps to 1.5 or 2.0 as a start and then use finer adjustments in 0.1 steps (1.4 or 1.6) to see what looks good for you. Double check the value because a too small or too large value will cause big problems.

My original suggestion was to change it to 2.5 and see how that looks and adjust from there.

thank you gentlemen . it worked on my address bar and bookmark sidebar but didn't work on the toolbar above the address bar. i use an imac 4k with firefox as my browser. any suggestions ??
On your Firefox, is the toolbar above the address bar the tabs bar (showing one or more tabs for open pages) or the system menu bar? The scaling factor should affect the tabs, but the system menu bar is controlled by MacOS so it would be a system setting. Of course, changing a font-related system setting could affect Firefox, so possibly you might need to adjust the scaling factor again after that.
