Meta mask still not being worked on
The latest firefox upgrade disabled my meta mask wallet, I have no access to my funds until it is activated again for android, firefox claims they are working on it, but I have been through the list of things being worked on and Meta Mask is not one of them, so please get this fixed by 8th November or I stand to lose $$$$$$$, I would also like your legal departments information in case it is not fixed by then. Regards Benedict.

Are you able to access you account on another device, such as a desktop computer with Firefox installed?
Unfortunately I don't have access to a desktop at home, that's why I used my phone, and I don't think it wise accessing my wallet on a public computer, as I said tech support need to get this fixed and not tell people they are working on it when quite clearly are not, and I am sure I am not the only person with an android this update has inconvenienced or has a wallet on metamask, I find it very inconsiderate not only that they did this with no warning but still have no support staff working on this, hopefully this will get seen by the right people and they will have someone working on this imminently.
Currently our developers are working to include support for more add-ons in Firefox for Android, including the one that you are looking for.
There is one other option that you may wish to try, but it does come with two very key risks:
- You will need to use the Nightly version of Firefox for Android (available from the Google Play store). This is an early test build and may have one or two unresolved issues.
- You may find that the add-on that you need does not work with Firefox for Android or does not work as expected. We are working with developers to help them with this, but right now the add-on you need may not have had any fixes applied to it by it's developer.
The guide to how to try this approach is given here (https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2020/09/29/expanded-extension-support-in-firefox-for-android-nightly/) and I recomend that you follow this very very carefully.
Thank you but I would rather wait until Metamask is fixed with firefox android just incase by using this undeveloped method I risk being hacked.
Ok, no problem. Please keep an eye on future updates to Firefox for Android for support for the add-on that you are looking for.
Thank you, hopefully my issue will get resolved soon
No problem, glad we could help.
Hi, I just managed to set up my old desk top computer and installed meta mask through firefox but when I opened meta mask it shows my wallet as empty? can you provide me the original browser link for metamask as maybe I did it on an extention and not wallet? freaking out here
This does not sound like an issue that we can help you with. I recommend that you contact MetaMask for help with this issue.
Everything was working fine until firefox disabled it on my Android device due to their stupid (word removed) up date, which incidently I hate and do not know of anyone who is loving it, so it definitely is a firefox problem and I will be taking legal action if it is not restored by November.

I have edited your response as we try to keep things family friendly round here.
Have you been able to contact Metamask about accessing your account?
Have you tried using Firefox for Android Nightly with the add-on as described in the process I included in a previous answer?
Yes I have contacted them but the problem is when I originally signed up I did it through your old browser and addon so the codes and storage is still on that original addon and browser and cannot be accessed any other way due to seed phrases and passwords used within the original browser, it is totally firefoxes fault, I will give them until November to have this fixed, if it's not I will start legal proceeding as at least I can provide evidendse of the ethereum I had moved to your addon and staked with hex through metamask and your browser, I do not wish to communicate further unless it is to be notified you have re enabled my addon, which incidently I had no warning you were going to do.
Looking at the MetaMask website at https://metamask.io/faqs.html, it states that
"MetaMask requires that you store your seed phrase in a safe place. It is the only way to recover your funds should your device crash or your browser reset. We recommend you to write it down. The most common method is to write your 12-word phrase on a piece of paper and store it safely in a place where only you have access. Note: if you lose your seed phrase, MetaMask can’t help you recover your wallet."
With that information, you will be able to access your account on another device. If you do not have this, there is one remaining option. This is very technical and will involve you being comfortable with using the command line on a computer, as well as making use of ADB. This is completely at your own risk, we are not responsible if this goes wrong.
- You will need to follow this previous question to find and then make a copy of your profile https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/949785
- With that copy of the profile, you should be able to find the files and then either import the add-on data into a desktop copy of Firefox, or move that profile data to Firefox for Android Nightly, load the MetaMask add-on temporarily (following the instructions mentioned above) and then access your account.
There is nothing more we can do, say or suggest that will help with this issue and as such I will be closing this thread.
