Ever since the revamp I have a lot of trouble with typing a search phrase in the address bar. After hitting enter, nothing happens. Hitting the magnifying glass: nothing. Selecting an alternate engine: nothing.

I have not noticed a definite pattern, but I want to say that it is more frequently occurring when I'm searching from a previously-opened tab (maybe something to do with trying to search from a tab that never fully opened? Just a guess.) It is not a connection problem- I switch to chrome: no problems. I want to continue using firefox, so I am writing this, but it is annoying enough that I will be forced to uninstall and use another browser if the problem persists. Good luck folks, I support Mozilla's mission and want y'all to continue to succeed

hello, I have the same problem.

I've been using Firefox for what seems like decades and am an ardent supporter of Mozilla but have been really struggling with the recent update ("revamp") for weeks now.

I have a Blackberry PRIV which is an Android (6.0.1). I have never had any trouble with it using the old Firefox (I'm not exactly sure which version but it was pretty recent, as I've always trusted the updates).

Firefox on my phone is not just slow, it stops completely at about 1/4 of the rainbow bar... It used to work for the first search or two in the morning, but since it updated itself to 81.1.1 I don't even get a single search before it stops working.

Like you, I can use Chrome and it is "lightning fast" as the new Firefox was supposed to be. I've done everything I can think of ...
