Script Error chrome://global/content/customElements.js:655
Hi guys,
I've found myself having problems with Firefox for a while on my MacBook Pro (see attached). Other than being very slow (for this I already followed the Firefox guide to improve it, maybe I saw a slight change but nothing major), some days it is impossible to make it even open and, if it does, it keeps on getting this script error: chrome://global/content/customElements.js:655
Another detail: I find impossible to have running at the same time Firefox (when it works) and any program from the Creative Cloud.
Do you have any advice on how to solve this issue? Thanks in advance for your answers.
- G.

hello
giunorris..........
it sounds like a Chrome add on is causing the problem.
Lately it seems Chrome has become problematic and I've heard of browsers causing problems for other browsers.
I recommend disabling Chrome add-ons to see if that helps.
thank you and regards.
Arman
Thank you Arman! I followed your advice, I hope this works to make Firefox work better!

Note that the chrome:// urls in say Firefox have nothing to do with the separate Google Chrome web browser and its addons. The Chrome has been a part of Mozilla products for a decade before Google Chrome even existed.
In the Firefox web browser, the chrome is any visible aspect of a browser aside from the webpages themselves (e.g., toolbars, menu bar, tabs). ex: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Chrome_URLs
As for what is causing this error not sure at moment.
Thank you James!

Hi Arman, I can't say for sure. I noticed an improvement in speed, but I might be able to give you a definite answer in a few days!
Is there enough free memory available to run Firefox as having only 4GB memory might be a limitation with Catalina.
You may have to close other applications to free up some memory.
