We already have something very similar in place. You can currently select "Save link as..." from the right click context menu.

Thank you, didn't think to do that. For reference I'm actually talking about a link such as http://www.sricf.org/Monks_Of_The_Abbey_Of_Notre_Dame_-_Dies_Irae_(mp3.pm).mp3 where the link isn't public on the page I got it from, but I went into Developer mode > Network to copy the link. But I see there is a "Save audio as.." option in the right click context menu.
