If you always navigate to the same pages on the web, Chrome makes it easy to have them open every time you fire up Google's browser. In the Settings menu, click On Startup and pick what you want to open on startup: the New Tab page; where you left off; or a select list of URLs that open up every time. Then reinstall Chrome. Uninstall and reinstall extensions. One of your Chrome extensions could be causing a problem. Uninstall all extensions, then add them back one-by-one. Fix hardware acceleration issues. There could be a problem with how your computer's hardware works with Chrome. To fix: Open More Settings. At the bottom, click Advanced.

Close Firefox. Open your file browser to this hidden location:
- Mac: *~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles
- Linux: *~/.mozilla/firefox/Profiles
- Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
- Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data
Search for the above file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.
Make the browser window full screen. You can set Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, or Mozilla Firefox to full screen mode on a computer, hiding the toolbars and address bar, by pressing the F11 key. To change the browser window back to showing the toolbars and address bar, press F11 again.
