I have lost, or rather forgotten my Main Password for Thunderbird :(

It usually came out automatically from my fingers, but now - after several months away from my laptop and PC only using my Samsung mobile, it is totally out of my head and I have never written it down. Does anyone have a suggestion for a solution so I again can access my mail acounts and adress books and of course continue use of Thunderbird?

When you log into the account through webmail, there is usually a link for when you've forgotten the password. The instructions to reset the password are often sent to an alternative email or your phone.

If you mean the Thunderbird "master password" (and not your mail account password) then you are out of luck. You'll need to reset the master password, which will cause your mail passwords under it to be deleted. See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1287877
